Join us on Australia Day for Mandurah's largest annual citizenship ceremony. Head to the foreshore between 7am-9am to enjoy a cooked Aussie breakfast thanks to the Lions Club of Mandurah and live music thanks to the Mandurah Concert Band. The official ceremony starts at 8:30am with the winners of the Community Citizen of the Year awards announced, followed by the welcoming of over 100 new citizens who will take their oath to become Australia's newest citizens. The event finishes with a flotilla of boats on the estuary, organised by the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club competing for the bets dressed title awarded by Mandurah's Mayor, Rhys Williams at approximately 11am. There are NO fireworks in Mandurah on Australia Day. Another great City of Mandurah smoke and alcohol free event. Please leave your pets at home as dogs are now prohibited at City events due to large crowd numbers.
